A Not So Green Moment

Okay so I lied. I thought maybe I wouldn’t feel like posting for a while but the truth of the matter is, I’m a closed person the way it is. If I don’t at least blog about something, how will I release anything at all?!

I don’t have much to write about I guess.

I’m annoyed at the man this morning that I watched chuck his donut out his car window after taking one single bite out of it. I’m not kidding when I tell you that I almost got out of my car and chucked it back inside at him. But then I remembered where I work, and what neighborhood I was driving in…and who knows if he had a gun. So I quietly cursed him, gave him my “I hate you” dirty look and Tara’s imfamous “What the Fuck” hand, then drove away satisfied that I just ruined his day by making him feel aweful. But we all know none of my tactics affected him in any way. In fact, he probably went home and threw his soda can on the front lawn. But I like to think he went home and recycled.

hahaha you know, when someone does something stupid and you're in your car so you throw your hand up in the air as if to visually accentuate yourself thinking (sometimes actually saying) "What the f!!!!". It's become the "What the Fuck Hand" It's a litter nicer than the bird. =)

Ah! The WTF Hand...I'm familiar. So familiar in fact that I don't even notice that I use it when I'm NOT in my vehicle. I find myself using it at my desk reading emails, crossing the street downtown, watching America's Next Top Model. The list could go on and on. It's an explosive expression of emotion, a dangerous habit and dare I say, a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Me, too. I use it a lot. All the time, in fact. I'm quite the road rager, and I feel like I need to show people what idiots I think they are.

At least he only threw a donut out the window. It'll disinegrate, or a bird will eat it. It's not exactly litter.

Can you believe how much litter there is in the getto though? I don't care if that's an un-PC term, either. You can obviously see which areas have ALL the litter lying around. I can't FATHOM littering. No respect at all. Disgusting.

I just don't understand how they can walk around their neighborhood and be okay with how it looks!!! Does it not affect them when they have to maneuver around heaping piles of garbage (and I'm not exaggerating) just to walk down the street? As a human being don't you at some point think: "okay this is gross, and unhealthy. I'll throw this in the trash can today".

If someone reading my blog lives in an area heavily poluted with litter...could you please enlighten me as to WHY?!?! Thank you =)

I just spent two hours this morning partcipating in a highway cleanup on Hwy 100. Two other girls and I did one side of the street between Layton and Edgerton (1 mile) and filled six large garbage bags! Isn't it ironic that people who don't litter spend their quality time cleaning up after people who do?

Be careful, Christi. Road rage can spark from guys like this. They basically don't care. Glad you chose to blog! :)

I drive through those areas every day on my way to work and I've noticed that there are no garbage cans anywhere. I'm not sure if garbage cans on the corners would even help that much, but it would be a start. Maybe I'll write a letter or something. Because it is completely disgraceful.
